- Fill out all other details of the online application and upload the required documents with a minimum 300 KB file size.
- Submit the application on the website
- Copy your Tracking ID to check your application’s progress in the future
- Print your online application, attach physical copies of the required documents, and submit them at the FESCO office.
- Wait for the Demand Notice and pay the charges at a designated bank.
- Finally, submit proof of payment at the respective FESCO office.

What Documents Are Required to Apply for a New Electricity Connection?

Property Document Copy
Firstly, you have to attach a copy of your property document to the application. It’s for verification of your ownership. If you have purchased the house, then attach the sale deed; otherwise rental agreement will work.
Attested Copy of Applicant’s ID Card:
Secondly, attach a copy of your National Identity Card (CNIC). Make sure the copy is attested by a gazetted officer for identity verification.
Attested Copy of the Witness’s ID Card:
Additionally, you would need an attested copy of your witness’s identity card. Any reliable person, including a friend, family member, or neighbor, can be a witness for your application and identity.
Copy of Your Neighbor’s Electricity Bill
Another document that you must submit is a copy of your neighbor’s electricity bill. FESCO requires it to verify your location and remove any future ambiguities.
Wiring Contractor’s Test Report:
Lastly, a wiring test report should be attached to your application. To get it, ask a certified wiring contractor to visit your place. The generated report displays that your house’s wiring setup is up to the standard.
Categories for FESCO New Connection
The online application for FESCO new connection requires you to add the category type. It’s the amount of kilowatts your electric connection can load. If you’re confused about which one to choose, we have given full details of all category types with the installation timeline below:
Category One (Up to 15kW)
This category shows that your new connection will load up to 15 kilowatts. You can pick it from the available options given on the online form. Anyways, it’s best suited for private residential buildings. Upon application submission, the whole process will take 30 days to complete.
Category Three (71 to 500 kW / 400 volts)
Consumers whose electricity equipment can take up to 500 kilowatts can apply for Category Three. Domestic properties can select this option. However, new connections under this type will be installed within 73 days.
Category Four (501 to 5000 kW / 33 kilovolts)
If your power equipment can take a load under 5000 kilowatts, then you can apply for Category Four. This option is perfect for commercial landmarks and supplies at voltage levels of 11 to 33 kilovolts. Consumers who select this connection type can expect to have it installed within 106 days.
Category Five (66 kilovolts and above)

There are different charges applied to various electricity service lines for FESCO new connection. The following amount must be paid upon receiving the Demand Notice for a two-phase connection.

- Rs 9800 for 40 to 100 meters
- Rs 58000 for above 100 meters
